I didn't see at all Jack blacks explanation for not letting the girls leave because he wanted to save his career. He hasn't acted that cruel throughout the season and genuinely believes what he's doing is for the better good, regardless of it is or not.

Its the Cowboys not the dolphins that Vernon plays for. Plus Spencer said to Vernon NOT to call him back when things go bad. Spencer seemingly dropping Vernon as his client is an extremely big story line for many reasons.
