How on earth does making oatmeal (or porridge, here in the UK) take 45 minutes? Oats + milk (not water for me, sorry!) + raisins + honey + 2 minutes in the microwave = yum.

Oh definitely, we sold an absolute shedload of them. Bit of a shame that they didn't really innovate much for a while after that.

@USB_Humping_Dog: the original RAZR (V3). And then the very slightly better one (V3i). And then the the V8. Ugh.

@USB_Humping_Dog: oh dear lord... when I worked for a mobile phone retailer they were our most popular handset by a long shot. It hurt a little bit inside every time I sold one... such an awfully unintuitive interface.

@ryanhoulihan: Spotify. I know (?) it's still not out in the US, but it's a fantastic piece of software. It'll be a real shame if Apple and Google end up killing Spotify just by being the bigger guys.

@Conor Murphy: I agree with chefgon I'm afraid - Meego originally had stacks of potential, but in the light of Nokia having sidelined it, I think we can forget any chance of seeing anything good from it.

@USB_Humping_Dog: Agreed. This is completely and utterly stupid. Irrespective of your mobile OS of choice, it seems naive of them to go for /anything/ other than Android right now.

I'm a big fan of echofon. My main reason for this is that - unlike all other iPhone apps except TweetAgora (which is a bit ugly) - it allows me to filter selected hashtags and users out of my stream. I'd happily switch to Twitter for iPhone if it did that (and maybe if the dickbar disappeared).

This is fantastic, guys. Also nice to see you in person! Keep up the good work.

I find Skobbler to be so hit-and-miss. Sometimes it just works, but more often than not it takes a good 35 seconds or so to recalculate a route if I take a wrong turn (if it actually works at all). Of course, for free (or £2.something), I can't really complain!

But the question is, Kat, does it actually taste any different? Or should I just go put some balsamic in my current ketchup instead?

Well, this is great of course, but like many people (I guess), I switched to firefox sync as soon as I read Xmarks was closing. And it turns out that sync is really quite good (I can live without x-platform). Sorry, Xmarks.

Guys, this is lovely. What an amazing idea, and what a great way to show you all have big hearts really. Thank you for brightening my Saturday :)

@Prairie Moon: Ooh, I didn't know it could be modified.. *googles* actually yes, you can just change a setting in about:config. I think that's just to turn off the feature, though? I find it quite useful, but sometimes inaccurate.

@CamJN: I wouldn't say it's quite redundant. The awesome bar search (by default, anyway) jumps to the first search result, if it determines that the result is a good enough match for your query. Often it isn't actually the best match, so viewing all results (using the search box) is better.

@#16 for the win: So lovely. Brought a tear to my eye, I must confess.

This is nice, but I've had so many problems with facebook's many photo uploaders that I hate to think how it will work with photos whose sizes I *don't* shrink.

This is one of those ideas which could work really well and look great. Alternatively, you might start doing it, realise it looks awful and then not be able to click 'undo'.
