Console shifters on trucks are the exception, not the norm. GM does not offer one at all, regardless of size or trim. Ford and Ram only offer console shift in luxury trim and a couple higher end cloth trims of their 1/2 tons, not at all in HD trucks.

FCA builds all 2500 and larger Ram trucks in Mexico, along with all regular cab 1500s and a portion of Laramie 1500s.

The Super Duty has some great towing features, but the “pro trailer backup assist” isn’t one of them. You need electric assist steering for that and hydraulic is stronger for HD steering.

No super duty is available with with a console transmission shifter, only column. Ford only offers console shift in the f150.

Ford minimum order for VSO paint is 5.

Love that Kodiak Brown in the sun light.

Only in chassis cabs, not pickups.

Look at the all the toys/tech you get for thaf. People did the same with the F150. Yes, the loaded platinum claimed a fair bit in price, but there is so much more equipment than the previous gen platinum.

The trans behind the 6.7 has been in use since the 2011 model (was on lots in the fall of 2010) and is rated for close to 1500 ft lbs.

Engine has to get its power to the axles somehow, tranny is part of the equation. You don’t just buy a 6.2.

Vs 420 ft-lbs right off idle for the 3.5 EB, that’s 40% more. TFL truck tested a 6.2 equipped gm 1500 against a 3.5 EB F150 hauling 10k up a long grade. The GM tranny shifted all over the place and couldn’t maintain the speed limit. The EB bested the 6.2 by about 50 seconds with a run around 7:30 vs GM at 8:20. I’m

The 4:1 geared transfer case in the Rubicon really helps with control.

The 6.2 vs 3.5 EB comments have nothing to do with fleet use. You said it wasn’t available in the 1500 series and it is.

The 6.2 is available in the GM 1500. It is the competitor to the 3.5 EB.

More specifically compacted graphite iron

We sold the first to arrive at sticker, and the rest will go for the same. He was back less than two weeks later for his first oil change and it’s already seen the track.

Yes, they started arriving in North America about two weeks ago. I had the opportinity to drive one a couple days ago. Was not mine and had less than 50 KMS on it, so I didn’t open it up. The owner did though and it was impressive, both in power delivery and handling. Nice guy and I’m sure he’ll drive like it was

and high-tech self-adjusting dampers that can “hover” over potholes.

The F150 they tested looks to have the panoramic roof, which is going to be much heavier than a standard sunroof. Its hard to see because the truck is black, but note the lack of “ribs” that would normally be present. This is a pic from the C&D article:

The platinum has more features which add weight, massaging seats, panoramic sunroof, etc. GM trucks may have decent sheet on the bed floor, but not so much on the cab sides, fenders, and bumpers.
