Reading the Double XP comic i realise that the only thing i took from the Sonic Boom phase was the awesome cartoon. It feels wrong to see a buff Knuckles trying to be serious.
I kind of disagree. Fixed camera angles were definitely a tool of convenience at the time due to issues with processing power but beyond a fond nostalgia it added to the aesthetics of a game by allowing a focus for composition of every screen. Rather than just having the camera follow behind the character it allowed…
So here’s probably an okay place to ask. Are there any new 3D games out recently that retain the idea of a fixed camera angle as opposed to an over the shoulder view? I get that at the time it was an invention of convenience but i honestly felt that it led to interesting games in their own right. At the very least it…
I supposed in the purest way of looking at it, the fan doing this wants the streamer to have the best experience possible, so that they enjoy it the way the fan did. The problem comes the moment the fan disregards the streamer’s feelings/opinion and insist their way is the better way. It’s at this point where the…
Did you start your explanation with ‘Back in my day...’ followed by rambling non-sequiturs about the size of towels and how Sarah Michelle Gellar was the hottest thing on television, on which you could only access a hundred channels on...

I never actually saw this as a stereotype of any kind, which in retrospect is kind of weird because i can very easily see why it could be the case. Maybe it was the doll like nature of the characters that negated it, but with Barrett you see a lot of him very early on that gives a lot of character. Yes, he’s angry and…
All human life is meaningless. When we die, our efforts are for naught.
UK guy here. One amusing thing about the Bully game is there’s probably not a single person in the UK who actually called it Canis Canem Edit. It was always Bully to us. To everyone. The shop i was working in sold it as Bully. People talking about it called it Bully. The kids playing it that people were trying to…
I agree and i’m pretty much in the same group you are. I go for the reviews and i keep an eye out for the content that appeals to me (the worst i have are the games i don’t play from humble bundles). Though I’ve seen Jim Sterling complain about it and am reasonably aware of the situation i have yet to this date found…
The Batman Arkham games did a great job of using overheard NPC chatter. It made sense for organised goons to have radios and it made sense for Batman to be eavesdropping on their conversations. The stuff they said was a nice mix of relevant and irrelevant, changed depending which villain’s goons you were overhearing…
I kind of want an alternative skin for her which is the animated Teen Titans version of her, complete with adorable anger.
Thinking about it, how close to Japan does a missile have to land before it’s considered flat out an attack on Japan? Is it a case of any missile that lands in the Exclusive economic zone is considered an attack, or is it much closer in (as in, until it hits land)?
LIFE IN AGGRO! For the love of god would you please return the picture of Bear or some new equivalent in the top left of your homepage. I know there are good reasons for removing the original but the lack of symmetry on your page is driving me nuts!
Boundary Break tends to cover these a lot in these episodes (it’s a personal favourite of Shesez’s from what i understand). If there’s an inaccessible path going off in the distance he’ll go look round the corner (it usually happens with a lot of rivers). Most of the time it just leads to an untextured blank space but…
Maybe i’m just used to seeing bus seats or something (though i don’t really use one regularly). I mean, i guess the vague outline is similar but it’s pretty easy to tell the difference and i don’t think i would even compare them at all unless it came up in a conversation like this one. The colour is different. The…
I remember in the original manga (back in the 90's) he explained it as the skulls of children that died in his village due to famine and drought. He wears them as a reminder.
Are Norwegian bus seats massively different to these? It seems impossible not to see these as just bus seats.
I dunno. I kind of like the idea of generating extra electrical energy as opposed to just having my arm go a little bit faster.
I’d say you need both quantitative and qualitative analysis in order for a place to actually do well. You have the right numbers and check them regularly but you also regularly analyse how those number actually perform.
