Definitely the Mk6 R didn’t have the performance over the GTI for the price. And I know people hate it but a tune by APR for $600 made a huge difference for me.

Why not get a Mk6 Golf R? They’re muuuuuch cheaper than the Mk7 R’s with not too many miles. The R does NOT hold its value so you only have to wait a year or so then pick one up cheaper
