Classic Jalop would have done 18 slides of the Cybertruck.

The door didn’t actually break, the door cards popped out (which they also did in the F150). Car doors generally aren’t designed to be slammed that hard, plus with truck doors they are heavy and thus carry even more energy.
As much as I like to point out that these things are poorly designed and poorly built the reason for this failure was from the earlier test where it drove across cement pipes and then the back came crashing down 6 feet onto solid concrete. With the weight of those tubs that probably destroyed the rear and cracked it…
Tesla and Trump... ridiculous. Manufactures do not even make windshields but Jalopnik’s journalists do not do very much research anyway. I would say they should stick to car news I’ve heard they will not be around much longer anyway
The GMA T.50 does sound glorious, but the LFA just has a resonance that the GMA lacks. You can’t beat that Yamaha-tuned exhaust sound.
Back in the 1990s, there were a series of papers published around improving aerodynamics and hydrodynamics using roughened surfaces, such as the sharkskin suits used by olympic swimmers.
Ohhh, that makes sense! It’s been a long time but I’ve seen that episode a couple of times, but I didn’t remember that detail.
Dodge actually did this to the vinyl top of one of their NASCAR race cars back in the late 60s when NASCAR was actually real, productive and fun. The dimpled top actually seemed to help things, but the vinyl started separating from the roof after so many miles of 180mph+ speeds.
They took the clay carved out for the dimples and stored it inside the car so that the weight between the two vehicles would be the same
They did the test at speed nullifying the penalty loss for the extra weight during acceleration. It was 15 years ago, I might not be 100% on that.
I wonder what the improvement would have been with dimples, but without the added weight of the clay.
Man seeing people bend over backwards trying to explain why someone in their 80s had a bad debate is hilarious. He’s old. Accept the fact that with age people are not as sharp as they used to be and shit happens. There is no shame with understanding how aging works. People saying it was late or he had a cold or Havana …
Story about seeing Tesla cars from space includes no images of seeing cars from space....
What a dumb article. That’s stupid people doing stupid people stuff. Doesn’t matter what kind of car it is. The car didn’t do that any more than a gun kills people. No, the idiot using it does. Lame article just to hate on ugly Cyber trucks.
At this point, Jalop writers are probably leaving errors in to reassure us they aren’t generative AI. As opposed to before, when they just weren’t being paid enough to care.
OMG... who cares.
To be honest, I read Kinja articles for entertainment more than for information. It’s basically a blog. I’m not sure I’d call any of the authors on the sites journalists by default.
You find any articles praising the cyber truck? Or just looking for the bad ones. I’m guessing you’re a young lefty so you can’t see the truth. You only see the bad because that’s what you’re looking for.
Sarcastic. “yeah, well what about hitler!” is like an arguing trope.
This is amazing.
