$30 for a 60W light bulb? A typical incandescent light puts out 850 Lumens, so this is pretty good; just seems a little high. I have several of the $9.99 Home Depot LED bulbs (40W, 430 Lumens, Dimmable) and they are pretty good. But I don't think 3X the price for 2X the light is that good of a deal. So I will wait. .

Engineers are designers by definition. They just happen to design things that are actually useful.

This is a prime example of why companies need to hire more engineers than designers.

I love how this article (and others) personifies science. "..science now says that ..." Did I miss something? Did the entire scientific community get a spokesman?

You know what picture is missing? The one that shows these things protruding 18 inches from the wall - at the perfect height to smack you in the face. At least the $10 version of this folds out of the way when not in use. This on the other hand is stupid and dangerous all the time! Way to go Design Team!

Teaching someone how to use a gun IS TEACHING GUN SAFETY! What you are suggestion is that you don't need to teach kids about safe sex because it is better to just tell them not to have sex in the first place. Way to promote the ignorance.

Please God! Make them stop!

This will never happen for 2 reasons:

I can connect my HTC Flyer the the screen through the MHL Port. And when I do: Meh.

Why did you have to play the race card? Look Mars is 'red enough', so lets just call it red. MKAY

Next up on LifeHacker:

Problem 1: Asteroids are mostly rock & metal.

I am sure it is a combination of a lot of things. The diameter of Mars is only 53% of Earth's while it's mass is only 10% of Earth's. These two combine to give Mars a gravitational pull that is only 38% of Earth's. If it was only based on gravity, I would think it would have more atmosphere.

The gravity can hold the water right now. It's not like the rover is trying to float off of the planets surface due to the lack of gravity. The reason there is no liquid water is because of the atmosphere. Mars does not have a spinning molten iron core like Earth does. Due to this it does not have a strong magnetic

Who told these people this was even a problem? If your Bluetooth headphones need a cord then you are missing the point. And spending too much money.

I have turned down plenty of job offers. Both from other companies trying to recruit me and from job offers within my company for advancement. I know how I work best and am grateful and loyal to the company I work for so it is a no-brainer.

Your mother used to wake up and cook you? Also where exactly in the week does this mythical Sutarday fall?

I own both. The only games I own for the PS3 are exclusives (Uncharted, GoW, etc..). But id a game is made for both systems, I opt for the 360 version in a heart beat. The controller is the main reason.

I'm lucky too. No problems at all. I did replace the case with a black one donated by Ben Heck, but other than that it is the same on I have been using since day one. (Although I REALLY want an excuse to get one of the new super quiet slim models.....)

Do some research. There is no Metric system anymore. It is the SI system now (Standard International); it has been that way for years. Also there is no Imperial system any more. What we use here in the USA is called the US Customary system. That is the way the rest of the world distanced themselves from us years ago.
