Who literally goes up to people saying that Sonic the Hedgehog is not a Hedgehog? WHOOOOO? What dimension do you live in and why do your people refuse to identify characters as animals/beings they are mean to represent?

In line with the discussion though: cartoon, idol, fictitious anthropomorphic character... That's not what people want to hear though. There's gotta be a clear cut representation of what that figure is, and that's how people will want to identify them as. That's part of what makes an icon. No one wants want Bugs

No one tells me I'm a rat! Get outta here ya maroon!

The difference is that at the end of the day, someone like Bugs Bunny is still a bunny. No matter how many movies he's presented, what cartoon's he's starred in, the number of products he's merchandised in or sold out to, he is still a bunny. Same goes for Mickey Mouse. Mascot or "idol" makes no difference all, Sanrio

Looks like Sanrio has been getting pointers from Quantic Dream's David Cage on how to be as pretentious and nonsensical as possible.

Hmm, purple sweet potato or 紫いも doesn't exactly roll off the tongue as nicely as ube or taro. We might as well be calling it partially gelatinated non-dairy gum-based beverages artifically flavored with sweet potato red #40 coloring.

MK9 pretty much shows what a good MK story is. But be it that it's just retelling the same elements, it also shows that there's nothing wrong with past stories. It fits exactly in the realm of it's own creation, so I'm not sure what else you're expecting really. It's not like it's Mortal Kombat Annihilation. Oh dear...

okay

I didn't forget, it just didn't seem that big of a deal to mention it all. I'm talking about the quality of the story, not every detail of it. The timeline changes are indeed interesting parts of the story, and thankfully it's done well.

I thought the last game was nicely written. Nothing truly outstanding, but as far as MK goes, arguably the best. It retells the entirety of the Mortal Kombat stories but done a lot smoother and much more coherent. I don't think the series needs a better story more so than what it has already done. If you're focusing

As a dog, I find this absolutely absurd.

Oh Girls Day, always winning the hearts of men one way or another...

Now playing

Wasn't the labeling term "ninja" popularized by Asian Americans? I remember when the word started to gain usage in Asian American communities (being in one myself), if I recall, started by a silly Youtube skit. If there's anyone to blame (*cough scapegoat*) in turning the term ninja into a slur, you can thank modern

No, no, no... Obviously that guy went Super Japanese, hence the blonde hair. In that state, his nose also gets bigger. You can clearly see him shooting a deadly ki blast at the enemy. Where do you think Akira Toriyama gets his ideas from?

Before there was Tosshi, there was this badass.

Dear God, that poor Shellder is still alive after this body horror....

"Dats da jowk"

Wat... I thought this was Natalie Portman.

This rustles my jimmies like.... a lot. Just looking at it makes my blood boil to the point I'll end up having an ulcer.
