I dunno, I basically just have no reason to believe that this is actually C- bad. Feels like the sort of treatment only M.I.A. would get =/

we gonna see when barb followed through on threatening greg one time?

Did anyone else see any theories that police didn't exist in this universe? Something about it being a weird libertarian place? Pfffft.

Yup. Did the song inspire Ocean City's near-fate?

Mystery Girl looked like something he'd draw.

I say, "avoision."

So the show seemed to gloss over the question of whether or not it's healthy that Pearl has projected emotions onto someone who looks like Rose. We obviously didn't have time, but I'd be up for seeing this interrogated (interrogation of various hangups being something the show does beautifully).

oh shit you're right, RIP my OTP

(This is the opening line, altered, of "Last One Out Of Liberty City" by Less Than Jake, from their standout 1998 album Hello Rockview. Notice that it echoes Ocean City's billboard.)

So this episode tacitly forgives police evasion.

LAST ONE OUT OF OCEAN CITY, BURN IT TO THE GROUND.

(on that note, Snotgirl is gripping af so far)

Best episode since summer started.

During Estelle's verse I though the song was kind of lame. By the end I was tearing up. It's like I released something after holding something back. I don't know. Fuck. God damn it. This show.

his palms are sweaty
knees weak, arms are heavy
there's vomit on his sweater already
margo's spaghetti

I get why, but I like the episodes that don't out and say it. "Steven vs. Amethyst" explicated too much.

"Drop Beat Dad" or "Restaurant Wars." "The New Lars" and "Kiki's Pizza Delivery Service" were fantastic.

1. "Bismuth"
2. "Earthlings"
3. "Beta"
4. "Monster Reunion"
5. "Crack The Whip"

Garnet in this episode is my aesthetic.
