(And even if spit in this show has healing powers.)

(Even if it's his own spit, really.)

Yeah, RTCS really didn't deserve that A-. Ronaldo is too good a soul to be spit on for an entire episode.

I've watched a LOT of Regular Show, although I actually haven't seen more than one of these episodes. But man, it's just at this weird disconnect. It's like, would I have waited for the next episode of Angry Beavers like crazy today?

Not everything gets to be top tier.

They're fine. Just second tier.

Seems like I need to watch Bojack.

So, what would you say is on the must-watch list for a cartoon-lover for someone who adores Adventure Time, Steven Universe, Rick & Morty, Gravity Falls, Over the Garden Wall?

so catchy, i only watched the episode once (until i hit it on my runthrough yesterday) but it had been stuck in my head more than any other song, maybe excepting "stronger than you" or "steven's lament"

I disagree and agree at the same time. I'm less invested because I think the last episode had you take a real step back and be okay with where things are at in the moment, so there aren't a million burning questions waiting to be answered at any given time.

seems like i need to pay closer attention to that haha

"Giant Woman" made me fear that fusion was a gimmick, plus a way to get guest voices. I mean, fearing fusion as a gimmick, I think that makes sense. Right, Buu saga?

(How much am I missing out on not watching these other shows? Regular Show can be fun but it's really super not compelling and I have better things to do.)

We blew our AT/SU load too early and now all the second/lower tier stuff gets to go. Boooooo.

Adventure Time is in a much more satisfying place right now than Steven Universe is, I think. So despite being my favorite it's a lot less pressing to get back.

Where did you see that? I believe it, I just want to know where to look in the future.

note: your top three all involve serious connie/steven stuff, although #2 is only in a flash

Late July is fucking fine by me, I feared worse. Also, with Rick and Morty and Gravity Falls coming in at the same time, oh my.

"An Indirect Kiss" is cool, but I feel like "Monster Buddies" says something a lot more painful and beautiful about Steven's relationship with his mother than any other episode has.

You have the names all right, although it's "Lion 3: Straight to Video" and the finale is "The Return"/"Jailbreak," although I think it makes more sense to include "Full Disclosure" and consider it a triptych.
