I've never heard of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop before but my respect for it just went way up. As a young female, just out of college, New Yorker I really resent that this women is supposed to represent me in some way.

Twitter became Tumblr so slowly I didn't even notice.

Glad to find another Visitor Q fan. I feel like it often gets overlooked when people talk about Miike.

I had no idea they had a new album coming out. What a pleasant surprise and just in time. I really needed something new to listen to.

I took a class on TV from this era (with a focus on Rob Sterling and John Frankenheimer) and watched most of the things listen in this article. However, I still found this to be a thorough and fascinating read. I hope this encourages more people to check it the shows/movies in the article out.

I want to know who is actually going to go to the move theater to watch this.

This is definitely an excellent, classic episode of House. I still remember seeing it for the first time and loving it. House was one of the only shows that I've ever watched from the very beginning.

Not to nitpick but DJs aren't "bands." According to this list I'm pretty hipster (didn't realize waxahatchee and oneohtrix point never were so obscure) but it's weird to me that Baths and Kurt Vile are considered "bro." The latter especially seems like he's trying so hard to be indie/hipster that even I can't stand

This is the first time I've read this column and I'm sorry if this sounds disrespectful but these questions seem like jokes to me. Well advice columns aren't really my thing anyway so I'll just go back to skipping over this one too.

I used to enjoy Gladstone when I was a regular reader of Cracked (years ago now, I left when Christina H became a columnist). I especially liked Hate By Numbers but I never got into this story and I'm not that surprised it's mediocre at best. The man's strength is bite sized nuggets of humor, not serialized fiction.

This song will always remind me of Heathers.

Squidward: Hi, there. Those homemade pies sure look good.

I have such found memories of seeing the first movie in theaters and then watching it more times that I can remember on DVD. I can't believe it's already ten years old.

I have never heard of this band before and yet somehow they are from the town I grew up in.

Yay! The Job got a shout out!

The way I understand it is that Watch You Mouth was written second but completed before The Basic Eight was published. Which makes sense since The Basic Eight was rejected 37 times.

The Basic Eight is my favorite book so I feel the need to point out that it was his first novel, not Watch Your Mouth.

More evidence that anything connected to Tim and Eric has never been funny, is not funny, and will never be funny.

If Smith had returned there was a 40% chance I would have seen this just because I love the original so much (watch it every July 4th). Now it might as well just be another mediocre reboot that no one asked for or needs.

His early roles are my favorite. He was so good in Scent of a Woman and Boogie Nights. Even at that age (and with those small roles) you could tell the guy was going places.
