My cousin has it done at a barber shop, which is cheaper than a salon at least.

I know that feeling! Then there are the times when I’ve thought that I missed a pill or two, so even though I hadn’t taken all my pills yet, I thought enough days had passed to allow me to get the next ration of pills since I’m already at the store anyway. Nope! The computer says I’m over my quota and can’t buy more,…
I have so many questions! Was your great-grandma a widow? I’m thinking that it can’t have been too common for a woman with two children to go for further schooling to be a teacher. Was she able to establish contact with her children again? What happened next?
I’m the oldest of 4 kids, and I can’t imagine treating my brothers like that! The boys would fight sometimes, but there was none of that type of long term, deliberate cruelty. My parents would never have allowed it, and you can bet I’d have put a stop to anything like that as well.
Those aren’t ladybugs. If they’re orange and stinky, then they’re Asian Lady Beetles. When I was in college (they swarmed our campus too) we called them Man Bugs because they’re annoying and stinky :)
I am loving being an honorary auntie to my friends’ kids! Sure, they drive me crazy sometimes, but I love them dearly and I enjoy the time I spend with them. (And after they go to bed, the adults get to do the things we used to do: watch movies, play tabletop games, etc.)
I was thinking about them earlier today. One of them was so traumatized by what he witnessed that he was weeping too much to give his statement. And yet, the judge is more concerned with the rapist’s future trauma than he is by THE VICTIM’S trauma or the witnesses’ trauma, or her friends and family . . . why is he the…
Seriously. I can’t imagine how traumatic it has to be to wade through that kind of cesspool, and I’m so thankful that somebody does it so we can put people like this man behind bars.
I vividly remember Simmons scampering around in a chicken suit and Letterman shooting him with a fire extinguisher. I laughed till I cried, but when I realized that Simmons seemed truly hurt about it (like it wasn’t just a goofy act for TV), I felt bad. He’s an oddball for sure, but seems like a genuinely kind person.
I like to pretend they aren’t soaps because I have to read subtitles . . . but actually, I guess I like watching soaps? Sometimes they’re just TOO frustrating though.
Her hair looks like something out of Dr. Seuss.
Oh K-Dramas! I love them, but they’re ridiculous. I just want to shake EVERYONE sometimes.
It reminds me of voting for class president in high school, when people thought it was funny to vote for a fictional character or the class clown. This article pretty much sums up my fears for the future: http://nymag.com/daily/intellig…
I mean, there’s a part of me that truly believes that Trump is the president America deserves, but I’m not ready to give up and watch the world burn just yet. There are children I care about!
This is completely true, and yet many of those 18-30 year old dudebros don’t realize it. The message that feminism is for everyone hasn’t been spread very successfully.
Hear, hear!
I wish I could give you a thousand stars.
Right? Love is just as real as hate, kindness just as real as cruelty, etc, etc, etc. I read about the show from time to time out of sheer curiosity for how it’s going and how it’s received, but I don’t watch it myself. I tried reading the books several years ago, but quit fairly quickly, having decided the world…
Same here! I don’t often bother to engage, but when I’m in the mood (or unsure if someone is trolling or genuinely ignorant), I engage with the freedom of knowing I have no power to bring anyone out of the greys. It’s one thing I like about being grey myself.
Thanks! A park near my home has a prairie area, and I just had to take some pictures last summer.
