    A friend of mine used to say it would be fun to play The Invalid Game, and take turns lounging on a chaise longue while coughing delicately into a hankie, while the other participant flutters about anxiously, covering the invalid’s legs with a throw, etc. Consumption, it’s the hot trend everyone’s talking about!

    Maybe I shouldn’t have used the term “fusion cuisine.” I meant it in the more general sense that when people immigrate and encounter different ingredients and a different food culture, their food culture tends to change as well. Unless you really are advocating for a kind of artificial food purity?

    Highfalutin fusion cuisine maybe, but for many people, it’s just the food we eat on any given day. And it’s pretty good.

    Right? Fusion cuisine is delicious, but this was not a smart way for her to brand her restaurant.

    I’ve never seen it, but several of my friends were terrified of it, so you’re certainly not alone!

    My friends wanted to see it, I was all “Aren’t we too old for this teen shit?” I was WRONG. It’s hilarious and Amanda Bynes truly is a wonderful comedic actress.

    I watched it and I agree, he definitely doesn’t deserve the criticism he’s getting. I did have to laugh, shake my head, and say “Oh, God love it,” though. He looks like he’s never held a baby in his life. Made me think of how my brothers looked when our cousin had her first baby.

    That may have been more out of the fear that you can do more harm than good by moving an injured person if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing. They may not have understood that you had been taught about the proper position to put people in.
