Chelsea is just a bit older than me, so when the media was so cruel to her, it really made an impact on me. I couldn’t imagine being in her shoes, especially at such an awkward age. I thought about that, but I seriously doubt I would have deliberately picked up a book of spooky stories as a kid. Everybody else was reading Goosebumps, but I definitely steered clear of all creepiness. PG says it’s in Road to Yesterday, which makes more sense, considering my reading tastes.
