Physics says no.
Higher speed -> less time.
Higher speed -> more space needed to stop
Higher speed -> more blood

With all those variables it remains a fact that a large car kills more people. Doesn’t matter if the accident is due to alcohol, not being attentive or anything else. Your argumentation is about the cause for an accident, the study and the article are about the fact large cars are more dangerous.

This kind of road has been used in Europe for decades now, without any problems. That it scares Americans is telling how afraid they are of bikes.

I think it does counts as barn find. Having been in the Dutch classic car scene for many years, I can say that the collection was not fully unknown, but I never met anybody who seen them. They were absolutely not maintained. Just look at them. As far as I can understand, the last 5 years nobody, not even the owner,

Show me a road that is designed for lidar/radar and I will accept your argument. But we have not even gone so far as to make it obligatory for light weight stuff like camper or glider trailers to have a good radar reflector. What has been done is to ask the people managing roads is to make road marking more clear.

Well it is an option when you buy the car......

Start by getting the name right.

In Germany cars are not very expensive compared to the countries around it, they have little or no toll systems as all roads are paid for by taxes (in contrast to Japan and France for example). Insurance can be hellishly expensive.

Well Germany and France have extensive car industries and are simply just as expensive. France has a bit different system where owning a car is not very expensive but driving it is.

But cheaper then The Netherlands? Perhaps a bit but not substantial. Cheaper then Sweden or Finland? Absolutely not.

If you car does seem to use any oil it is getting diluted (water or petrol, both are pretty bad). It is simply impossible to design a engine that does not use use because if there is no oil film between the pistons and the cylinders (which is burned away) your engine would not last very long.

Nonsense!

That’s a German car, German plates and a German family. Not Dutch.

So give us “your reasoned and thoughtful esponse” so we understand why you feel that slashing tires on orders is less bad then without orders.

Nope... if we follow the president, they are terrorists.  If you do not agree, talk to your president.

“If I were to read between the lines”....

Why don’t you reply to the comments then? Just saying it is fake sound a lot like a politician I know.

Sure I know you are trolling and still I will bite. I just hope you will post more ‘arguments’. Just say why police officers doing this under orders is better then doing it on their own initiative. That’s all we ask.

“The officers doing the slashing were following direct orders, not vandalizing random cars for entertainment.”

Perhaps a website should decide if they want to go for advise on how to counter maze and “how to pickle cherries” as was promoted today.

Is it really needed to add fuel to the fire? Why not get a coffee and wait for some less emotional feedback? Enough US cities have burned and that never changed anything, if just caused massive hardship to the people involved.

It’s Dutch, Enough said.
And I am Dutch, I know.
