Check with some of those universities on the state border. Near St. Louis, there are two (one in IL and one in MO) that offer in-state tuition for students from border states. They are both smaller state schools, and they both have programs in which the two universities are well-regarded. You never know what bargains

That image used to be used so often around here...

I don’t feel like the trolls sunk Solo. I hadn’t missed a Star Wars movie in the theater since my parents first took me to ROTJ (I had to read the books for IV and V—I was young and we didn’t do many movies).
But, there were a bunch of great movies already out, there was Last Jedi just a few months earlier, and I just

Yeah, that argument is similar to when my ultra-conservative relatives ask me why I take deductions on my taxes— “As a tax and spend liberal, shouldn’t I want to pay more of my salary to help the cause?”

If Paul Ryan can take food stamps and welfare as a child and see no hypocrisy in cutting those programs later, I see

Sorry, I replied incorrectly, or Kinja screwed up (we all know how Kinja can be, but this was probably my own fault).

I was actually replying to KSLT, and I took that last line with the same tone/sarcasm as you did. I don’t see how the wealth of the family should impact the sagacity of the advice. I see I clicked on

Ah, got it. Yeah, totally agree with that, making me like Warren’s rule of thumb even more--mush easier to understand.

Which those? Unclear pronoun.

And your point? This fits pretty well with what most people say:. 50% of take home pay on essentials, 15% pretax for savings, and 5% on short-term savings, the rest is yours to spend however.

LOL! This deserves more attention.

Agreed. I love them dearly, but I could see why someone who has watched tons of other scifi films would just think the original Star Wars are “ok”. In 1977, there was NOTHING like Star Wars out there. It inspired so much imagination and wonder. Now, however, there have been countless other similar things that are

But it should push a few more of those conservative women who wouldn’t vote for Hilary away from him too. Here is hoping he starts pandering to his base so hard that even more people of his support erodes away.

I was wondering that myself, and I still watch it with my sons. They have been working on a metahuman cure. I wonder if it is King Shark “cured”.

This is so awesome...
:^D

As StuckinVT said, Repubs changed the rules to simple majority for most nominees, including Supreme Court candidates.

I don’t think so. The Republicans hold the Senate, and Supreme Court Nominees go through them, right? We need everyone to hold on and hope we take the Senate back in 2020, and hopefully even the Presidency.

Not a doctor, but I believe that the prevailing recommendations were to wait until a toddler was older before introducing peanut butter (because of allergies), but then the latest thought/research seems to indicate this recommendation backfired and increased allergies and that earlier exposure to peanut butter now

I hope that too, although with all the sexual abuse scandals, I find myself becoming more distant from the Catholic Church, and perhaps even Christianity in general.

My sons and I have been involved in Boy Scouts of America for almost 12 years. I (and 2 other parents) were their den leaders as Cub Scouts, and I have

Agreed. I’m in math, and I don’t get many solicitations, but we have only had one or two qualified candidates that last time we had to hire someone, and I think it is going to get worse.

So glad you said this. I was just going to bring it up while I was reading the article.

I teach high school math. I would also agree with all of this, but I do want to stress that as school years go on, the content your child is expected to learn in later grades is more than what most of us were expected to learn.

It seems that in middle school, there is much more of an academic focus (in the past, there
