I would agree with this. I wish there were more time to "play" mathematically with things. This is one of the main reasons many people don't see math as a creative endeavor, but it really truly is. Math is not just a bunch of rules that some dead people created a long time ago...

I think there may be some truth to this. There were some troops dropped when they changed to policy to admit gay scouts. I would really be interested in those numbers, though, and I wonder if it was a precursor to making a change in the leader rules.

I agree with you that it is time for the membership discrimination rule to go. I still keep my kids in scouts, and I still volunteer. I am vocal with my opinion (that a good leader is a good leader, no matter what they believe), but probably not enough. We all need to keep the pressure up.
