This isn’t overly surprising to be honest. Every jet I’ve flown has breakaway pins or bolts in the fairing which will quite happily detach the engine and dump it on the unsuspecting public 35,000 feet below if vibration exceeds a design stress.

It’s not only not as good looking as the Miata, it’s not nearly as good looking as the original 124. My first new car was a red 1971 124 Spyder with a black interior. It may not have been very fast, but it was a lot of fun to drive.
The good question is will someone get into the Abarth/Multiair motor and make a reliable tune/turbo set up so we can all have 300 HP in our Fiata? Because i would buy one 3x quicker if I could massage out 300 ponies reliably. Hell even 250-275 would do!
The crowds will never hear it coming.
How was this not suggested? I’ve seen it posted so many times here, and it still cracks me up every time.
President-elect Donald Trump is tweeting again, and once more he’s tweeting about the F-35 fighter jet. Last week,…
Oh fucking please.
Fuck these guys. Seriously.
on the other hand, the most overated power output is any civic with a “cold” air intake and an exhaust. the “gentleman’s agreement” here is that in combination these add 50+ horsepowers
To be fair (and might make an interesting motor related article), most if not all light standards are designed to be sheared just like the video showed, lowing the chances of fatalities when hit.
I am honored that you made a post about this. You did a lot more justice to the topic of rotary valves than most people do. Most just assume it is a Wankel rotary engine.
May I suggest for your next project that you try sleeve valves? That should provide hours of toil and frustration too!
Vo-Tech kicked in yo
Mass Circle Jerks, got it
It says three seconds into the video that it’s a 0-60 mph test. In graphics. Right there for you. Why did you just try to write an article acting as if you’re deducing what is actually shown. There’s nothing sneaky about it, and this article kind of pisses me off. Both because it’s click baity as all hell and because…
On a related note, the Stapleton neighborhood in Denver is one of the few areas of town with legit straight streets. Not sure if any follow where the runways once were, but it would’ve cool if they did!
I love the new Thunderbirds, I know I am in the vast minority of people who aren’t retired that like these. I actually tried to test drive one last year, didn’t get to though because the dealer didn’t know where the keys were. Lol
Ugh... I guess I’ll wade into this mess.
This is Vox; I don’t think I’ve ever read a well reasoned, logical article from them.
So the way that I see this working would be to have the timing between the intake and exhaust set such that the two strokes would be this.
