The rex is a 2.5, this one is a 2.0 I think. Also if you compare the power band, the BMW is much smoother to drive and consistent across rpm. Not knocking the rex either, I loved mine when I had it

Live in Colorado, have both a Subaru and an xDrive BMW. On snow tires never had an issue in either. The Baja has more ground clearance and is much cheaper so it gets preference in the snow but the BMW has only gotten stuck once ever when it bottomed out in deep snow

Do you regularly haul cinder blocks or metal tool boxes? I think as long as you’re not bucket loading it with an excavator it will hold up. I would put in a liner regardless of the metal though

That’s a good looking car. However, I applaud them for going upmarket while everyone is diluting their brand. I think for a small performance oriented automaker like them it will be good long term when other brands become too pedestrian.
