The few dozens people that were in the theater with me when I watched it for the first time (that was in Morocco, by the way) sure thought that, when we (nearly all) yelled "Yippee-kay-yay, m………..!" alongside John MacLane…

Timothy Dalton looked like he was having so much fun in "Hot Fuzz". Just for that, I was glad to have watched it ! ^^
And killing with a carrot ! Not even John Wick tried it !
Isn't that called the "Charlie Sheen Effect" now ?
I liked the "old John MacLane totally out of his depth takes down modern hacker crew through sheer violence and physicality" vibe of "Live Free or Die Hard".
Kind of like having a fighting bull trying to take down no-lifers onlie at "Battlefield" or "Call of Duty", ony to get pissed, show up in their basement and…
I'm wondering if Liam Neeson's recent roles as the "all powerful alpha male action hero" isn't, consciously or not, his own brand of therapy to recover from his wife's death…
"The Grey" is far from an action movie. I'd rather call it a metaphorical examination of masculinity in the face of imminent death.
All in all, a pretty decent movie, with Liam Neeson remembering he's an actor, not just a monolithic gun-toting gut-punching one-liner-delivering charismatic figure in modern B movies…
I refuse to believe there's anything fascist about "Predator".
It's not technically fascist, but eugenism in fascism-oriented societies is a known occurence.
Especially since they started selling those "Make Sparta Great Again" baseball caps…
I feel sad eveytime I think that, for most people, the battle of Thermopylae will only ever be "oh yeah that thing from '300' right ?".
I still believe giving as much political and military power as can be found to murderous morons is more destructive…! ^^
I believe this is the first "A History of Violence" article where I had to scroll down to unfathomable depths to actually find an actual comment about actual action movies, and not some political "the PC culture is destrying 'mericah and this movie is not racist because blah blah blah" mumbo jumbo…
Well, there's a difference between wanting to find racism everywhere and aknowledging racism when and where it comes up.
A goat's head on a woman's body I believe. Which is better ?
If a worker does a shitty job and does not get paid, I can live with that. Heck, that's the standard I'm held to by my employer…
Talk about misplaced trust…
That would probably qualify him as a writer for the next "50 shades of Gray" movie…
Beer-flavoured gut !
That would be a great (though totally unprofitable) way of paying your ticket : liked the movie ? Pay. Shitty movie ? Don't pay !
