I do hope you get to write a retrospective on the 3ds, a system looked like it was going to be exactly like the WiiU, who couldnt replicate the successes of the DS, but it did come into its own as a beloved system.

The 3DS is successful, sure, but even the most successful consoles of all time have eventually come to the end of their production cycle. We’ve gotten to the point where most everyone who was going to buy something from the 3DS line has already done so.

Calling it “light” is not giving it enough credit. It has all the Ubisoft open world features—multiple planets sprinkled with different types of activities, experience and currency bars to purchase skills, randomized loot, collections, and a full story.

That’s the difference though. You don’t care about the online aspects, and even said you didn’t care from the start. That’s fine. Enjoy your system how you want. You also got yourself a 2nd system. Not everyone can afford that.

You could have 100 arguments for Smash 4, and it still wouldn’t matter - this isn’t determined by what the games offer on paper. The community ultimately decides what they want to see.
