@RubiksCube: The way it's been snowing, we're gonna need as much power as we can get.

@resu427: I think a recent study found Verizon customers use more data than AT&Ts. So I think Verizon is already dealing with more than half the smartphone traffic than AT&T.

@Philip.J.Fry: People are already ditching their landline network connections for unlimited wireless plans. That's how Clear does business (besides the Sprint service).

@wjbean: I feel you. Even though like Schalliol said, people are moving away from voice communication, but I think it's still necessary, and should in fact be the primary consideration when looking for a new phone service.

@ant1pathy: Android sales will stall for the first couple of months. But the iPhone will not surpass Android usage. Not for at least a year. If it doesn't by then, it won't ever.

@NRSander: Oh. I was saying "This page has nothing to do with saving your dentures from sticky fingered nurses!" Stupid internets! Gimme back my periodical!

@wjbean: Since I'm already paying the $10 4G tax on Sprint, this won't affect me. But I still think, even just for 3G, it's still cheaper than Verizon or AT&T.

@talkingstove: Dumbphone is a relative term. Most of the devices that fall in that category today would've been considered smartphones back a couple of years ago. Most "dumbphones" today can save a calendar or go online (albeit with very basic functionality.

@zzzaap: That's the way it is in tech, generally. In a network, a device which repeats signals without routing them is called a dumb hub. It only means it has very basic functionality. No need to be offended or feel like you're being pushed into buying a smartphone (even though I will admit that's what it sounds like).

@wagedomain: Don't you know? iPhone & Android are the center of the smartphone world; you must not question that.

@minibeardeath: I'm thinking Verizon is trying to set themselves up as the "everything for everybody" carrier, so I think they'll at least put as much effort on the Droid line as they already have. As for AT&T, your guess sounds about right.

@Giggity: Because Android is distributed among all carriers, while AT&T is currently hogging all the iPhone users. If Verizon was the exclusive carrier of Android phones, the numbers would probably be the same. That's why you'll never see those AT&T-iPhone numbers on Verizon, because the iPhone won't be exclusive to

@cicadymn: Just goes to show how small this argument really is.

@SKiTz: You're making too much SENSE.

@Killjoy: That's inconceivable.

@tomsomething: I thought there was a camera app that activated the shutter through your phone, plus you could see the image on the screen...double the reason to skip this.
