@pdubs1087: Just this weekend I installed Cyanogenmod on my EVO, only to find out Swype won't let me download the beta because last weeks's HTC update has Swype already.

OK, so as luck would have it, I installed Cyanogenmod on my EVO this weekend. Now I found out about this and made it to the Swype website before I could blink. But when I tried the downloader, it said that Swype was JUST included in the official HTC upgrade from last weekend (which I refused)!

@wagedomain: Well you know that if the app is gonna access contact data, they're not saving it just for kicks. They wanna make money off of it. Android Market doesn't tell you the details of what they do with the data, but it does tell you when they're taking it.
