HIPAA permits covered entities to share PHI with state and federal governments for public health purposes (I use that term loosely in this case, of course, but that’s what the law says). Think vaccinations, STDs, etc. I assume that’s what they’re using here to justify the disclosure under HIPAA.

i stopped OCP back in october and stopped topical bio-identical hormone creams in jan. have been losing hair like no one’s business. more acne than i’ve ever had. but some weight loss, more energy, and a generally lighter mood.

agreed- I was holding my breath for something truly horrifying to come out of that hole and all I ended up with was, "how the fuck did he wait that long to pull that hair out of his face?!"
