the engine will outlast the body of the truck it’s mounted in
it’s simply pushing the CO2 emissions to the energy companies
ICE engines aren’t likely to get much more efficient. With the focus on pivoting away from them, companies won’t be investing in the kind of R&D development needed to make them more efficient. Batteries have billions of dollars being poured into R&D right now, I suspect that’s where we will see advances. The weight of…

I mean I hate to piss on your parade but automakers are mainly in the business of making money while adhering to government regulations
That’s not a BEV specific issue though...I guess that’s where I got hung up. Tires and brake particulate emissions will be the same whether it’s a 6000lb BEV or 6000lb ICE. (actually the BEV should be better with regenerative braking)
Do you mean something else? Particulate emissions has nothing to do with weight and a BEV has no emissions. This comment makes no sense.
I don’t think anyone is saying modify the racing line, but rather the barriers. Like you could move the barriers out to where the red line is and put gravel where the barriers used to be (blue). You eliminate that barrier right next to the track limit while still keeping a punishment for drivers exceeding it.
That and most of the people who do buy news cars didn’t lose their jobs and suddenly had extra cash from not taking vacations or going out to eat.
It shouldn’t matter much to the car (at least I don’t think it should)...the most important part is making sure the cord is sized to the load for that length. If the gauge of the wire is too small that cord will heat up.
If I remember right the H3/H3T were not just a repackaged Colorado and had a chassis designed specifically for the brand that was beefier and better off-road.
I think the H3T actually looks good. It was just bad luck that it came out right around peak fuel prices and in the middle of a recession which doomed the whole brand. I think Hummer would be making millions for GM if it were still around today.
There’s a 46 year old gymnast in this years olympics...so it’s really not that hard to imagine.
People are importing them because you can’t by something similar in the US.
In before the “Jalopnik is a cop hating cesspool” crowd complains about negative coverage of this
Apparently she doesn’t read the bible though...
I’d honestly rather start with a blank slate at that point, that skoolie build looks like it was built with whatever extra stuff they had laying around.
$17k for an 8 year old Transit Connect with some drawers and a bed? $18k for a 21 year old Dodge with over 250k miles? $10k for a janky looking skoolie build? No thanks. Honestly, the 32 year old Ford camper looks like the best value to me and that’s still way too much for my liking.
Not only that, but you have to have the doors open to even be able to cook on that pullout counter.
It’d be nice if wagons were even an option anymore. Save a few holdouts if you want a wagon-like vehicle you need to get a CUV unfortunately.
