At some point, probably within 100 years, machines will be able to perform nearly every job a human can do. What is your plan at that point? The future is coming quicker than people think. Look at where we were 100 years ago compared to today, now multiply that 10 fold since technology advances exponentially.

It can be all of the above too. Just because someone deserves to be behind bars doesn’t mean they don’t also need help. Often times it’s because those people didn’t get help that they are in that situation to begin with.

They wouldn’t be repealing anything. The law allows California to petition for a waiver from the EPA, it doesn’t grant them one.

It specifically prohibits states from setting standards beyond the federal ones except for allowing California the option to petition for a waiver. The EPA denying that waiver is completely legal per the law. Which is why I don’t get why that’s NOT the argument this administration is making.

I believe the Clean Air Act specifically prohibits states from setting emissions standards above those of the federal government. Which is why California needed a waiver to do so. But this isn’t even the argument the Trump administration is using to revoke it.

This is me too. I think my next car will still probably be ICE because I don’t know if I’ll be able to afford either EV yet, but we’ll see.

I feel like you don’t understand economics at all. Healthcare does NOT follow the free market model. When you need it you NEED it. You’re not shopping around costs while bleeding out. And while the VA is poorly run that doesn’t mean all socialized healthcare is like that.

Are they really trying to regulate interstate commerce though? They have rules that manufacturers need to comply with to sell within California, that’s it. The other states made their own decision to also follow those rules.
