I don't think most PC gamers mind. If we were to compare this to the BF3-Origin shit though, it becomes clear where people have the problem - installing multiple programs that all act essentially the same and the fear that Origin having success will mean even more programs.

They Usually are but no one ever ever really cares because 1. PC gamers are well aware of the fact and could care less what figures VGCharts has and 2. As a matter of fact, the general PC gaming market has been growing in size, not shrinking. Outside of Blizzard, Valve and a few console ports, you've got a whole host of PC developers releasing the kind of games that PC gamers want to play. Many of the biggest PC games are not free to play either.
