It makes a lot of sense to stay flexible until the actual demand for millions of EVs is there. The reality is that in most of the world EV mass adoption is still a long way off.

As a long time BMW owner (E46 328, 330 ZHP, 135, X1, M3, i3(x2), X5 PHEV) my problem with them is not that they aren’t electrifying fast enough. It’s smart to be somewhat cautious and deliver a killer project rather than rush things out the door.

I disagree with you here - they are not saying they CAN’T make a pure EV, just that, as a smaller car company, they have to be as flexible as possible.

...score the first race win for a Honda engine in over a decade...

Here’s my issue with this penalty. They said it was “unsafe re-entry to the track”, but then they said he intentionally moved to block Hamilton at the very end. If he can intentionally move the car over for a block, that means he’s already completed the process of re-entering the track, and now we’re only discussing

Please stay far away from motorsports.

Davey was my best and only friend from k-6th grade and really gave credence to the final words in the movie Stand By Me, “I never had any friends later on like I had when I was 12.” Rather, I am 43 now and I still have never found a friend quite like him later in life. Sadly I will never get to tell him face to face

Not going to post with my theories on his whereabouts or what I would have done differently, just want to say I hope he comes back to us safe and sound.

By drowning yourself in a frigid river? Why take your clothes off? I would not want to be discovered naked. There’s easier ways to go out. Seems more likely he wanted to go for a dip, to wash up from days on the road, or to wake himself up with a quick polar plunge.

He went off somewhere quiet to kill himself.

This is the kind of story that is tough to read, because I feel like this situation could happen to any of us. You’re talking a long ride, and decide to stop for a quick swim to cool off.

It’s true, the Ford GT is tiny and low. When you see them on track in person, they look more like an LMP car than a GT car... probably because Ford took their old Daytona Prototype and disguised it as a GT car.

It’s genuinely surprising when you see the 2 directly next to each other. Here’s the 919 and 911 next to each other for size comparison.

Glad I’m not the only who saw/noticed this. I’ve never thought of 911s as anywhere near big but holy crap did it make the Ford look small.

that’s true, during that battle between Bourdais and the Rothmans-livered Porsche which angered the Ford driver so much, Bourdais got the tow on the Porsche and you couldn’t see it behind. The Porsche 911's roofline is always taller than the other cars, but that GT is just tiny!

Why we never saw this meme while the Bentley Continental GT3 was around escapes my grasp.

People have this meme all wrong—it’s not that the M8 is giant, it’s that the Ford GT is tiny. There was one moment where one it was barreling down the Mulsanne Straight pursued by one of the 911 RSRs—it looked like when I’m chasing after my three-year-old.

His racing career is achieving new heights.....

Yes. Large front and rear overhangs, and diffusers that start only at the axle line (not tunnels that start before, like current LMP cars).

Mooney Aircraft saw that and just had to put that engine in one of their aircraft.
