I would never let a cat get that close to my system. My sister's cat got too close to my PS2 10yrs ago and when she rubbed the controller it zapped her real hard. That zap from the controller fried the system it was connected too in the process.

I like the finish the XB1 has over the PS4. The PS4 has that late 90's, early 00's plastic look with the smooth, reflective side over the disc slot (like some classic remote control from your parents TV).
