There’s a strange kind of “nothing to see”/non-story attitude AV Club is cultivating about this incident, even as they write approximately 12 articles about it an hour. Bizarre.

Or a single good person. Or anyone with a brain.

I can’t imagine a single standup will say, “yeah, it was fine that Rock got physically assaulted over a joke.

A few years back, I was at a horror convention, it was, I think the 35th anniversary of The Thing, most of the cast was there, not Kurt Russell, but most of them. They had a panel, and someone asked about the critical reception, they all answered, and when it got to Wilford Brimley, he just said, “fu*k critics.” LOL,

I’m not the biggest QT fan but he is right the Thing was awesome and it’s amazing how critics shit on it back in 82.

Maybe at least the greatest summer in film when you’re an eleven year-old film fanatic, as I was. I saw The Thing five times that summer, and Blade Runner at least three. Of course I also made time for Poltergeist, Star Trek II, Tron, E.T., and even Rocky III.

Most people recover, though, and not through wealth. That’s part of the reason why so many people won’t take the vaccine. “Most people are fine. My risk isn’t that great. Some of the potential side effects are the same anyway.” (These are actual statements from folks I know who haven’t been vaccinated.)

“Cops are also often bad in general” For fucks sake. This is a sad story, that just got sadder after hearing of the man’s circumstances. Can we leave this shit for another more relevant article? I hope the man gets help, I hope Moranis is ok and that it all ends well.

I think you nailed it when you identified intent as the important factor.

She is the ultimate abuser here. What she did to that child is inexcusable, and the worst act to ever happen in that child’s life. Only an abuser would murder.

Im sorry, but fuck her. She’s no different than any of those assholes who murder their wife and kids then turn the gun on themselves. Throwing your seven year old child out of a window is the most severe act of abuse you can commit. She was an abuser.

It does take a lot of guts. But then the trolls will say “they’re doing it for money/attention, and this is proof!” Sigh. As a survivor of sexual abuse/rape myself, it amazes me the kinds of mental gymnastics people will go through to discredit victims.

It’s amazing how many trolls online will say, “where’s the proof that this happened?” Here is your proof. No more anonymity, all guts. I applaud them.

I remember seeing a copy of Duke Nukem 64 for $69.99 in the case at a local department store for like three years, well into the Gamecube era. And that was in 2002 or 2003, so it’d be more like $90 in today’s dollars.

I can't afford a 4k TV. I should not be denied this. Meet me at the local best buy at midnight if you agree

Alcohol should def be at least $2500 to average it but I know plenty who are at 5k or more incl me

Yeah, I looked at that and was slightly depressed too. $500/year? That's $10 a week. So like, a pint and a quarter every week (if I'm at a pub), or 4 bottles of beer at home.

Dorm life - duct tape plastic bag over hardwired smoke detector on dorm ceiling, towel at the bottom of the door and exhaust fan in window. Enjoy herbal remedies. A good friend of mine a few doors down did not think about this and had an encounter with the local fire dept. He got kicked out.

I find this interesting, and confusing. Not to doubt your experience, but, seriously? The point of seasoning is to provide a non-stick surface. Seasoning gets better (more effective) over time, and is accomplished via oils filling the pores in the surface. The surfactants in dish soap attract the oils to dish water

no need for a warning, he mentions this right in the post:
