Very few detergents still use triclosan. They were mostly phased out about 6 years ago. Check your ingredient labels of some washing detergents (they're not really soap, which is why I don't use that word) at home, if you use them.

not even my first generation dvds from 1998 are that susceptible to damage... not even 10 year old dvd-rs... many of them are scratched to hell and play perfectly without corruption...
