Klay hurt himself trying to flop his way into a cheap foul call.  He got exactly what he deserved.  That was about as natural a shooting motion as Draymond kicking dudes in the nuts.

I whined about how shitty the refs were, especially in the first quarter, and think they handicapped the Warriors a lot (Raptors should’ve been ahead by at least 15 at halftime).

That’s fair I suppose. Market valuation is an inexact process when it comes to human beings.

Pretty sure this is like 80% of Nurse’s strategy. Draw all the heat to Kawhi, hope he can kick it out to Lowry/FVV/Siakam/Green/Gasol and let them rain buckets. If the Raps can shoot above 35% from 3, this series is their’s to take.

I think it would have been a problem if he was turning the ball over, but he only had 2 turnovers.

I don’t know if I’d say he played stupidly, but a genuine weakness in Kawhi’s game is he’s never had great passing vision and he’s never been a very accurate passer. Considering how limited his skillset was when he got to the NBA, the fact that passing is the only remaining thing he doesn’t do at a world-class level

Yes, this as well. This article is correct about the overvaluation of draft picks and underpayment of players pre-free agency, i.e. their most productive years).

What am I going to do? I’m going to read up on all of the players Deadspin championed during the off-season as examples of why MLB owners are colluding to drive the price down. I’m then going to see how many of them are under performing with respect to their contracts. Then I’m going to continue to compare Deadspin’s

My impression was that both Kuechel and Kimbrel had been holding firm to their prior demands ($150 million and $120 million, respectively) and Kuechel only lowered his asking price yesterday. Is this incorrect?

This is the obligatory reminder that according to Deadspin, the Lakers should have, nay, deserved to be gifted Anthony Davis because they’re so well run.

A small cup of water exposed to the sun could have boiled the Celtics.

The Raptors were 5th in defensive rating this season, jumping all the way up from.....5th in 2017-18. You have to go back to 2014-15 to find even a below average Raps defense.

Not that I don’t LOVE Drake, but can we please talk about my man, in what appears to be a reversible sequin skull t-shirt?! Bruh, you paid $50,000 (Canadian) for those seats, you know you’re gonna be on TV, step your shit up!

Oh hey, Burneko’s indicting a team’s style of play after a single loss? Time to go put $100 on the Bucks in game 5.

Some Raptors fans have been calling for this type of offense all season. Too often, the ball would go to Kawhi, and it would be like Carmelo Knicks offense, and the rest of the team would watch and get out of rhythm. The Raptors were 17-5 without Kawhi for a reason. (that’s a better percentage record than with Kahwi)

The Raptors went dead cold in the fourth quarter of Game 1. They missed their last 8 shots and didn’t score on their last 7 possessions. They lost 108-100. Other than that quarter and Game 2, they’ve lead pretty much the entire series.

Kawhi also looked pretty hobbled.

So he’s hitting .229, striking out constantly, not even hitting for power, and accounts for exactly 0 outs above an average RF on defense. Sure seems like a $330,000,000 guy to me!

Seems like they could be highlighting Machado a little more and this preening douche a little less if they’re really so determined to shore up the entire-offseason “throw money at these guys or you’re colluding against them” work they were doing on behalf of the agents

You guys are trying WAY too hard at this point.
