No clue why this is on Deadspin, but okay...
So, PCB’s gripe is that he wasn’t bailed out by the correct application of a rule that in this case would have been terribly unjust?
My read is that he has been doing the whole “I’m great and these young dudes need to listen up” routine, and he sort of wants to apologize for that. However, his way of going about it (“I was once that dumb young player”) seems to imply that his teammates are now the idiot he once was. Not sure that’s so great.
I’m all for equal chance and I 100% believe Kap should of gotten to work out for all these teams needing qb’s. I’ve also gone back to his time in high school, years at Nevada, and the years with the 49ers. Jim Haurbaugh helped him have ONE “great” season. Yes Kap should have a contract right now as a back up on many…
I’m excited to be proven wrong, but I’m not sure Boogie will change that much. Any shots he gets will come at the expense of guys already better than him. The PF/C position for the Warriors is basically a few hyper-efficient, low-usage guys and Draymond.
Certainly Murray was known for his hard work. But I think to explain away the remaining Big 3's success as owning divine-given talent is unfair to THEIR work ethics. Fed, Rafa, and Djoker all work harder than any of us could possibly imagine.
The Clippers got Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams, Sam Dekker, Montrezl Harrell , a protected first-round pick and cash considerations (plus some JAGs) for the end of Chris Paul’s career. They flipped the first rounder (and the end of Jamal Crawford’s career) for Danillo Gallinari.
Definitely not trying to defend the call or the play - but I think he might have been talking about the two screen doors that opened up for #44...
Clowney’s pretty clearly being held there. He’s halfway by Nelson until he gets hooked and turned. But offensive holding (not to mention defensive holding, and illegal contact, and pass interference, and roughing) is something that Vinovich’s crew has turned a blind eye to all season. In general his crew lets the…
Is that a real question? Did you see Adams put an end to the Lopez’s finger pointing? The Kiwi grabbed Sideshow Rob’s wrist and re-positioned it like a father helping his newborn into a swaddle.
In that first video, Adam’s is like the slow calm measured Dad telling the toddler “i hold you with this hand, because the other one ready to beat you if you don’t settle down”.
The success numbers I’ve seen for 4th and 1 are around 60%. Even if they get the first down, there’s no assurance they score a touchdown. If you go for it and don’t get the touchdown, your chances of winning are miniscule. In light of that, how could going for it possibly have a chance of winning of 59.8%? The…
It’s not Aaron’s fault. He lent Mike McCarthy his cell phone and the dude used up all the minutes.
Is he really one of the most well-respected NBA reporters in the business? I’ve always known him as the The Guy Who Only Covers LeBron. Like, the dude’s career was made by covering James in Akron, then Cleveland, then he followed him to Miami, and then back to Cleveland. He’s been ESPN’s guy on the LeBron Beat since…
Lamar Jackson Is Way More Fun Than Joe Flacco
And, it’s amazing to me that I’ve been commenting on Deadspin for this long, not being a shithead, and I’m still in the greys.
maybe the Omri-gosh
I had kinda forgotten just how stupid good Kawhi is. That is obviously on me..but man. That dude is a monster. Simmons looked like utter crap tonight. He makes Shaq look like a smooth FT shooter. Simmons is going to get his against crappy teams and facing good teams on back to backs and 3 in 5 nights sort of thing but…
