Im a Cavs fan but it seems like CLE fleeced BOS.

Boston’s really bad at trades, right? Clearly could’ve gotten George or Butler with like, half of what they gave up to a team with no leverage.

I find it interesting that Michael Johnson spoke out about Wayde van Nierkerk being the IAAF favorite, then the first linked article at the bottom of the story is about Wayde van Nierkerk breaking his 17 year old record...

Nice to be happy about a Simpson on the run again.

Holy shit...

To be fair I’d rather be terrible in LA than in Buffalo.

He might know LeBron is leaving after one more season and Cleveland will be back to being trash again so he wants to make sure he’s nowhere near the dumpster fire that the Cavaliers will be in 2 years.

Are you actually justifying Price based on what was reported? ‘Yuck’ to a bad rehab start is enough to act like a petulant man child and get back slaps from your millionaire teammates?

counter point: David Price is a emotional child who can’t take criticism when he sucks, and Eck doesn’t have to put up with that shit.

saying “yuck” when a guy has a super shitty line in a rehab start is now over the line for a analyist?

Jesse Reasoner is actually a teammate of The Progressive Liberal, fighting foes like Roger Ignorance and Peter Cognitivebiases with rational thinking and solid logic. He is currently winless.

Giri- you’re a great writer. Of all the sports writing on Fed - on sports actually - you and Wortheim are the best for me.

I have never found it all that difficult to make sure both men get their credit, at least in my mind, for just how great they are, and yet ultimately conclude that despite Nadal’s clay dominance Fed has the best overall record. Others have discussed that overall record and I won’t repeat it.

So as to Nadal, on clay,

I agree that he probably doesnt have the deadliest and most powerful backhand, but from a purely aesthetic point its solidly the most beautiful backhand in tennis. In fact I cant think of many motions in all sports that are prettier than Federer winding up, opening his body and hitting a backhand.

One thing I’ve always found fascinating about Federer (or, rather, the way we talk about Federer) is that there’s never been any backlash. Normally, when an athlete has been around as long as Federer has, and has been as great as Federer has, and is on the receiving end of so much adulation, some sort of noticeable

The third thing would be not sweating. He can be out playing a marathon 4 hour match against Murray in the desert and the dude still wouldnt sweat.

Thompson’s not only the better shooter and perimeter defender, he’s also a lot less concerned with being The Guy than George seems to be. His personality is a big part of what makes Golden State’s system work. Obviously, they were right not to trade him for Love, and they’re right not to trade him for George either.

He followed a pattern where he would struggle when first promoted to a higher level and then the next year figure it out and mash, then get promoted and struggle and repeat. He went through his struggles in the show last year and now has figured it out.

From what I’ve read is that this has been his trajectory at every level. Struggle for awhile, figure it out, go beast, repeat.

I don’t know what you are complaining about. The original porch was ugly. The new one is much more attractive.
