Yes, Howard fouled Griffin first. But then Griffin held onto the back of Howard’s neck and looked like he was trying to pull Howard down. Howard wasn’t having it and shoved Griffin off. I’m pulling for the Clippers in this series, but if someone was grabbing onto the back of my neck/head, I’d shove them off too.

To be fair, he repeats everything he says at least a dozen times in 5 minutes. So if you’ve listened to him for 5 minutes, you’ve heard him say something dozens of times.

Even before Deadspin started piling on, I was firmly in the “Austin-Rivers-sucks-and-shouldn’t-be-in-the-NBA” camp. Mainly because he’s a shooting guard (who can’t shoot very well) trapped in a point-guard’s body (only he can’t run the offense or even dribble all that well). But since I’ve been watching him a little

I read some snippets of the report, and was all ready to defend Tom. (The texts don’t prove anything. They just show that he was really particular about his balls and made the equipment guys’ life hell if the balls weren’t just right. But they don’t show that he ever told the equipment guys to deflate the balls below

The hate comes because Rivers is, by any objective standard, a very bad basketball player. He’s a shooting guard who can’t shoot who also happens to have point guard body. The fact that he is getting significant minutes on a good Clippers teams leads a lot of people to the conclusion that the only reason he is getting

I’m still having a hard time processing how a Clippers team with that bench beat the Spurs.

haha. It looks like maybe his upper body was going for a behind-the-back dribble, but his lower body was going for a spin move. Whatever it is, it’s hilarious. The fact that he pushes Terry in the back and then begs for a foul just makes it that much better.

I loved Dark Knight, but only because Heath Ledger was so great as the joker. The story itself had plot holes the size of Wayne Mansion. Dark Knight Rises was horrible. It just made no sense.

Agreed. I thought Guardians was way better than Avengers. I thought Avengers was “ok,” but it seemed way overrated to me. The end fight scene just went on and on. And other parts really dragged as well.

Because Chris Paul and Blake Griffin are really, really good. And their offense is one of the best in the league. You can criticize their offense for being repetitive all you want, but the Clips had the top offense in the league this year.

I actually feel a little sorry for the Clippers’ starters (even though I loathe the Clippers in general). The starters work their butts off to get a little lead or at least play the Spurs to a draw, and then their second unit comes in and gets outscored by 10. And it happens every single night.

Huh, I don’t understand any of them.

I’m curious how they do without Love. I haven’t watched the Cavs much this year, but from what I have seen, I think they’ll be just fine without him. The Cavs still have plenty of offense, and they’re not going to miss Love’s defense.

Ha! That was funny. Yeah, if Olynyk got hit in the dick, he deserved it. But this just looked like a freak accident on a play that happens a half-dozen times in every game.

It also looked to me like Love punched him in the dick, so maybe Olynck gave a little extra tug for that.

I haven’t seen the C’s at all this year, since their never on TV, but I was impressed yesterday. They are clearly overmatched, but they were doing everything you would want them to do. I mean, I don’t think they have a single guy that would start on a top 5 team, but they were playing Cleveland hard and, for the most

Yeah. He went after the name, but there was nothing in Rondo’s recent history to show that he was the same player as he was when the Celtics were at the top of the league. I guess Cuban thought a change of scenery was all Rondo needed.

They probably would have outperformed if they hadn't traded for Rondo in the middle of the year. The Mavs were 19-8 before they traded for Rondo, but only 31-24 since. The Mavs were outscored by 1.3 points with Rondo on the floor, but they outscored opponents by 5.2 with him on the bench. I don't watch the Mavs

I agree, as long as they bench Rondo. I’m a Celtics fan, and always kind of took Rondo’s side when Ainge was shopping him year after year. But it looks like Ainge may have known what he was doing. The Celts have been noticeably better since they traded Rondo, and the Mavs have gotten worse. It’s too bad, because
