Agree. Personally, I think the Corvette looks derivative.

Not vouching for the Toyota, but I will vehemently disagree that the Corvette has spectacular styling within its own price range, let alone in any price range.
These are shop cars. They all will be built to be broken. Most of these are already being torn down and built for their R&D process. Gotta find the weak links in the platform so they can market and sell power packages and built parts to the tuner public.
These are a lot less apparent in real world lighting and driving conditions than in these photos.
But the badge isn’t giant and doesn’t even light up.
Here’s a hint: it’s not only about the looks.
I have laughed so hard, thank you!
Marko don’t give a shyte about Vettel. He sees a chance to play mind games so that Red Bull comes in second in the manufacturer’s and/or driver’s championships (worth many $10s of millions). That’s my theory and I am sticking with.
He may be a little overrated now, but he is a 4-times world champion.
Boy, this sure is a funky way to say “Please please please come back. We’ve got this seat that Pierre Gasly has been keeping warm for you ...”
What about that old Sport Compact article about the Sentra? That was a classic.
Haha, yeah I mean, no apologies from me on that! When a Cool Thing comes out it’s fun to turn over all the rocks. At least I think so. On top of that, this is a level of significance above most other major recent launches. There will be other cars to talk about... next week...
But also, don’t bank too much on a customer base that’s aging out/dying off. Or you’ll actually end up like Harely Davidson.
I do not hope they go this route.
Are you talking about amateur racing? All the GT class GT-Rs (GT1, GT3, SCCA, Super GT) were RWD as was required by the regulations. I'm not aware of a single professional racing series that used an AWD GT-R.
It’ll be a first for GM, so pray to God the DCT is good. GM will soon realize that the manual is timeless and might even bring it back later in the car’s life cycle. Who knows ?
Not that Mustangs and Vettel are even remotely comparable... But Mustangs don’t start in the 70s. They start in the 20s.
The price isn’t going to go drastically up just because the engine is moving back. This is GM, they don’t have to make money on base Corvettes, because they can easily sell an Escalade ESV Platinum for nothing but profit margins. If the base Corvette sells for much more than $70k I’ll be fucking shocked.
The DCT had better be un-fucking-believable. Other big manufacturers get transmission selections wrong, but this is one that could completely tank the model.
