We come to this streamer, because we’re bored. We come to Netflix to scroll, to ignore, to get background noise. Because we need that, all of us. That indescribable feeling we get when we “Skip Intro,” and we go somewhere we’ve been 472,000 times before, like another binge through “Kimmy Schmidt.”

PWH is a tremendous pick for this role. When I first saw the pics above, I was worried it was a contest between him and Gad - thank fuck Gad is directing, Gad couldn’t hold Chris’s lunch. (insert joke here)

This will make me cry for a number of reasons. I earnestly think we lost momentum on sublime physical comedy with

The beard was his trademark.  The guy in Lincoln nailed it.

I’d love to see someone make a big sci-fi/space opera movie like this, except the hero figure they all have to rely on ends up being MacGruber.

A Crown of Candy was superior to at least two seasons of Game of Thrones.

My condolences. My grandfather passed from the same in 2004 (and I lost my dad to COVID in 2020). Nothing quite heals it, but it does get easier.

I’m so sorry about your dad. It’s brutal caregiving.

“Dream Weaver,” “Really Want to Know You,” and “Love Is Alive” are all, like, the perfect encapsulation of late 70s/early 80s synthcore ballading. Just a soundscape of warm synths and huge reverb. Those three songs have never left my playlists in almost 50 years. RIP to a master.

The net is fantasy!

Agree completely. I think their weakest episodes were the first couple, which was probably fatal to getting viewers onboard.  As the characters developed and they got the tone to balance better, it became a better experience.

I have to get this off my chest. Earlier while I was waiting to use the private bathroom, I witnessed Tim Robinson performing oral on the Netflix Head of Programming. I’ve been conflicted about whether to say anything because I feel like ‘I Think You Should Leave’ could be renewed even without the oral. Tim Robinson

Okay, so these photos mostly just prove that Robinson is still very good at making exaggerated “What the hell?” faces.

Only way to celebrate this news is with some sloppy steaks!

Yeah, reading the first paragraph I was already thinking it’s good he’s contrite but he really shouldn’t be screaming at people on set. It’d still be an overreaction even if it was an exec. Then I read the rest and was like ok damn he has some deep-seated issues.

Pissed?  Hell no.  Watching these right wing morons in these absolutely terrible movies is a secret joy.  Get a few friends together with some beers and maybe some edibles and throw on the latest from Kevin Sorbo or Gina and I guarantee you’ll have a good time.

Candy and then Norm for me.

I was gonna say the pretty much same thing.   They were legendary. I cried ugly tears (cause I’m ugly) after reading robins bio.

The Great Outdoors is still to this day one of my favorite comedies.

This.  John Candy’s absence has been palpable, for what we were deprived of.  His work in JFK showed he had incredible dramatic chops as well as comedic, and he no doubt would’ve flourished in the streaming era.
