I mean, they had to deal with a defense that forced them to make the crispest of passes (else they’d get picked off or tipped) and have to deal with Ibaka, Adams and Durant seemingly blocking shots left and right.

Donovan was able to completely transform OKC’s defense in the span of a year (the amount of switches OKC pulled against Golden State was insane, as that requires a huge amount of communication), so it’s not like it’s not possible.
