Totally agree, he had a great self-awareness of the character he’s created (and how people see him) and embraced it (the bits with the pancakes and the butterfly were hysterical).

I _guess_ it was part of the trial (and that power): they have a fixed amount of time to travel to the netherworld/hell/Chubbies, and if they don’t return, their body just *poofs* away. I was kind of OK with that particular detail.
