We need to remember that a joke made at the expense of any group is an attack. Free speech isn't hate speech, and these jokes qualify as the latter. Instead of targeting people based on race, gender, and sexuality, he should stick to mocking groups who deserve it, like conservatives and the religious.

I agree. It will happen eventually because it's the easy thing to do. Hard to unring that bell in the AL, so to speak. The truth is that the DH is in place in every level of American baseball of which I am aware, from high school on up. The only exceptions are certain upper-level minor league games where both

+1. I'm an AL guy, but the DH is silly. It will never go away, of course, because of understandable union concerns vis a vis jobs. But it's a silly gimmick that I wish had died in the 1970s, all things considered.

I think you just stumbled across a good way to end the Republican problem once and for all!

+1. I wish I knew how to do that.

I agree. We can definitely make distinctions about the propriety of eating animals based on where they fall in terms of intelligence. I get that some may say that eating any animal is wrong, and that's fine, but we also have to acknowledge that a fish and a dog don't have the same mental capacity, for example. This

Agree.

Apropos of nothing, but: We all agree she has implants, right?

+1 spicy meat-a-ball!

That's a good point. As a gamer now in his 30s, though, I'm someone who plays games for 30 minutes here and there, and who finds bigger worlds to be not a major selling point necessarily.

You may be right - I admittedly don't know much about streaming games services. Question: Other than storage (which really isn't an issue at this point), what is the advantage of streaming games vs. downloadable games? I'm just wondering what the major leap is. I'm not doubting you, I just don't know enough about

I would love that, except I thought Sony has already said that's off the table? I could be wrong, but I thought I had heard that.

The diminishing returns chart above does a wonderful job of illustrating a point I've tried to make about the PS4. While that chart applies to graphics, I think a similar point can be made about features. PS4 boasts the capability to play blu-ray discs, downloadable games, streaming video, streaming games,

This has a decided "Dharma Initiative" feel. I like it.

NASCAR is being VERY aggressive with blocking these videos as well. Keep doing great work, Tim!

Yeah, and that would be great if I were still 17 and had all the time in the world to invest in getting really good at video games. But I play most games on "easy" or "normal" (at most) now. And the majority of the games I play don't have "enemies," e.g. Tiger Woods PGA Tour.

This is a good point, and I've contemplated that. If they basically stop supporting the PS3 in order to force people to buy a PS4, I think I would avoid getting one for exactly that reason.

+1. Many movies are great films. Chinatown, for example, might be as good as any film I've ever seen. But Saving Private Ryan affected me. That's a rare thing.
