Thank you. Jalops need to realize this; all cars are appliances. Every. Single. One. The sports car? It’s an appliance. The non-existent brown manual wagon? An appliance. A CUV? An appliance. A KTM X-Bow? An appliance. They all do driving in a different way, but ultimately their purpose is to get at least one person

ALL cars are appliances bruh. Parts, nuts, bolts, fluids, adhesives, dead cow skin and shiny tree bark.

Maybe these RAV4 buyers didn’t know that they could get an interesting car instead.”

Weren’t the C30s generally panned for not being great to drive? I suppose anything is sportier than a truck or Wrangler, though.

If you have that kind of money, you buy whatever you want without sweating it.

Some people want more luxury than a GT3 has to offer.

If you’re ok with a 200hp/150trq sporty car vs the Z’s near 400hp(?) then sure.

...And every other Porsche. And Wranglers. And Grand Cherokees. And Minis. And every Audi. The list goes on. This take that it’s “similar to the last one” is so weird, to me. Design can be iterative while still being a fully new car.

The 350z, 370z, and new Z are all clearly following that same path. The new

Just posted the same thing above. They look FAR better in person, which is unusual.

I get it. This thing is shaping up to be a refresh of the current 370Z. The body lines, interior, etc — they all got dressed up.

Declaring that two cars look “basically the same” when they actually don’t is a celebrated Jalopnik forum tradition.

Ah, well, yeah, but no. Sure, there are similarities, but remember that the 350/370Z interior was, itself, also full of homages to to the 240Z, same as this concept. So of course there will be similarities.

Look at the retro-inspired interior of the 2005 Mustang:

UI designer here: Red on that dark blue wouldn’t pass AAA accessibility standards. Not enough contrast in general and other issues with red-green color blindness come to mind.

I would only buy this if it got me out of the gray.
