I use a similar method. you use 5/8 or 8/5. And both are super easy. 55/5 is 11. times 8 = 88. or 100/8 is 12.5, times 5 (or times 10/2) is 62.5. 5's and 8's are some of the easiest numbers to multiply/divide by. I use a very similar method for f and c as I sous vide a fair amount.
