Some things get ignored until they go horribly wrong. Safety glasses and dust masks seem to be the most common in my experience (mostly because people tend to buy the cheapest of both, and neither are very comfortable until you spend a few extra dollars).

Ok. Couple things about safety. Use a face shield. If not, use spoggles, not regular eye protection. Wear long sleeves and gloves. Dick up there grinding in the red polo with safety glasses and no gloves is being a moron. Don’t be a Dick.
