It’ll look beautiful but filled with the angsty-emo stuff. Be warned. Many things are just better left as they were intended...

The announcement is nice but agreed, it’s been a long road to get here, and it’s strewn with the bodies of fans who accepted invitation after invitation to run ahead of the bus, paving the way with dollars to ensure a smooth ride for investors inside. That strategy has been insultingly transparent for a while. The

Yeah...that was my first thought after seeing this. Do people think SE in their current form can deliver on this? If I had to bet, i’d say probably not. FF7 is arguably such an overhyped (to some extent) monolith that SE is almost destined to fail in doing a remake.

Square has proven time and time again recently that they can and will step all over the fans at every turn. They have raped the fans with overpriced mobile crap and toted bad ports being ported again as something fantastic. Hell they’ve remade titles and actually made them look worse then the original game.

And with their track record it’s hard to really give a damn about it. Square has used up any good faith it had with remakes at this point. It will have to come out and fucking literally knock my socks off in some way for this to be good news with Square at this point.

oh i guess that is a scripted fight... wait i just got a game over

Spoilers for 20 year old game...

HP/MP restored! But you're still hungry.

You're reading all this stuff in I didn't type. As I said, the game was released on PC years ago. I don't know what all that stuff you typed about FF3 or whatever was supposed to be about. Not on topic.

Ehhhhh, they showed some fights it's true, but there wasn't much context behind them and while they adequately conveyed that yes, FFXV plays a lot like an action game, we don't know much about how it plays as an RPG... and as a fan of the series, I care a lot more about that angle.

Oh sweet unholy Cthulhu. Really? REALLY? Is this what costuming has come to? I'm a retired "Booth Bunny" who was also a seamstress for a living (being at cons allowed me to meet people who'd like to hire me for my seamstressing). But the business was different then - we were hired props, not "brands" or
