I'm sorry, maybe I am a terrible person for thinking this, but this whole saga is absurd enough to be a canned subplot of Zoolander. It's satire writing itself. 

But who cares what they ‘look like’? Noone's fashion choices are to blame here, only Pitt is to blame. I had a fairly abusive childhood and I was humiliated for my appearance a lot, didn’t get to the level of being likened to a murderer though. It’s horrifying. 

Who views the world that way though? We are talking about mass murder here. Who reduces it to clothing? To shyness/social awkwardness? Makes a joke of it? Are people so dead inside that they do that?
