At this point, who hasn't seen Bacon whip it out on screen? I love that he did that "Release the Bacon" campaign about more male nudity in films. I think Ewan McGregor and Harvey Keitel could've done their own PSAs too

yes, so good! & very funny if you're into dark stuff. Tracy Letts has a new play premiering at Steppenwolf next spring, I'm hoping I can make the trip to see it

the variety of films he made is so impressive to me, and Before the Devil Knows You're Dead was a great end to a long career

Con: the music in Q & A has aged badly
Pro: Timothy Hutton was so dreamy in 1990, and Nick Nolte's scummy cop character really amuses me

At least his gross face really highlights Fassbender's handsomeness by contrast

No, it's because British shows are prohibited from making more than 18 episodes (with the exception of Dr Who)

Seems kind of bogus that Rostam won't even be there.

Just a week or two ago I was trying to remember the name of James VanDerBeek's character in The Rules of Attraction, and when I googled it I discovered that website is also still going strong:

La La Land won the People's Choice Award at TIFF so that will give it some momentum.
& I'm hoping Rebecca Hall can get some attention for her amazing performance in Christine

"They don't give out Pulitzer Prizes for jerking off, 'cause if they did, I would have way more Pulitzer Prizes."

I love the detail that it was John Mulaney in your dream; if this show had a former SVU actor in the cast then that bit could really be in his wheelhouse!

omg Serpico is my fave, with Carlito's Way a close second!

I looove Black Market, it was a highlight of summer TV for me. Williams is such a good host; he's so genuine and likeable, and a v. snappy dresser. "Balls Deep" is my other fave on Viceland

Lux! Is it really you? You've been missed!
I was just posting about Richard Harrow yesterday … I shouldn't reopen old wounds.

He's so great; I really enjoyed that in the comments of his random roles Sam Adams described him as an "unruly steer" to interview

He's also the best incarnation of Mr. Rochester in Jane Eyre

I'm still not over the death of Richard Harrow

This article fails to mention that the closing night film was "Edge of Seventeen," so they were clearly just going for a high school theme. This controversy seems pretty bogus. Also, Edge of Seventeen is getting great feedback so far, so I'm excited that I'll be able to see Hailee Steinfeld in something decent again

they both have a pleasant demeanour and *great* hair

Ethan Hawke on a horse is all the convincing I need. sploosh
