Please, please, please fix the RSS landing pages. When I click on the "More »" link from Google Reader, it sends me to the front page of the Canadian site forcing me to look around for the post I want to read. Doing this on my iPhone is even worse because it loads the Canadian site rather than the mobile version.
You can still get the t-shirt (more or less) from Microcosm Publishing in Portland: [microcosmpublishing.com]
@Pandaschreck: HA! Agreed.
Ubuntu. I haven't had as much experience with other distros (when I was in school we used Fedora for *nix courses, and I've played with PuppyLinux a little), but I'm so impressed with Ubuntu Hardy. I had some wifi issues with previous versions, but it's been smooth sailing for me since I upgraded.
VOTE: uTorrent, even in Linux. It works wonderfully in Wine.
@aphexbr: Yes. I'm in Canada and I can't access Hulu and a bunch of other similar services. Some will even force you to sit through a bunch of commercials AND THEN tell you you're not allowed to view the content. Nuts to that. I'll stick with Miro, thanks. There's no advertising, and I can watch shows whenever I…
@xingman: I recently set up a Linux media centre at my boyfriend's house, and I was able to connect to his XP box immediately after installation. Absolutely zero complaints when it comes to getting access to shared drives.
Three words: Windows Genuine Advantage. I had a legit copy of XP running on an older machine, but nothing I did would kill the annoying reminders that my copy of Windows might be pirated. WGA also stopped me from installing security updates, so it wasn't long before I was ready to get rid of Windows forever. I was…
@HuckleberryFriend: I knowwww. I just checked and their website won't ship outside the US either. Goddamn it.
@oboreruhito: I've noticed the same thing. I dual boot Ubuntu Feisty and XP on an old ThinkPad, and it's unbearably slow in both. So much so that I've basically given up on it for now. However, I've also used it on a newer XP machine, and it ran like a champ. A little bloated to be sure, but no worse than iTunes. …
@Breamworthy & @fluffybudgie:
My aptitude test results always told me I should be a nurse, even though I don't like people and get grossed-out really easily. I am convinced the schools skewed the results on purpose because the experts who predict job trends kept saying there was going to be a shortage of nurses right around now. And there…
Hi SM.
A university friend told me she had it in high school. She didn't go into a lot of detail, saying only, "Everything comes out of you. EVERYTHING."
Oh, I totally thought that was Posh Spice at first. Avril Lavigne flipping the bird isn't nearly as awesome.
Hmmm... well I have a mole on my neck and I'm a big fan of teh sexin. Plus my laundry always smells way fresher than anyone else's. Bring on the hellfire.
Lady programmers represent! I want to see this so badly, but I'm so far from the Googleplex...
@ Dreamermarie: I had no idea what Chick tracts were so I google'd it. And it turns out Satan is out to get all of us with poisoned cocktails and "low-grade" condoms!
