Perhaps, but folks who don’t eat eggs are generally well connected to the alternative food scene, and know about all of the newest brands before they even hit the shelves in their local area. The FDA says that mayo isn’t mayo without eggs, and yet most ‘real’ mayo has very little egg in it. It’s usually about 80% oil and only 6% egg (the whites, no less).
