Aww man, I’m sorry to hear that! Your interpretation sounds right to me. The usual place you share with your partner = the comfort and routine of still having your job, and the place you’re staying in instead is not where you want to be.

A few things come to mind: do you feel like you’re in a weird place right now mentally? Or in life? Rooms in dreams often represent our own mental state, but not always. The anxiety makes me think of being “trapped” in an unfamiliar situation. Does any of that resonate?

I think Darlene and I are in agreement that Fortune isn’t the problem. She should be able to play whatever part she wants without the size discrepancy between herself and the person she’s portraying being part of the joke.
