Just the base should be fine. That said I seen the Valve game collection was going for like 22 bucks. Totally worth it and more if you don't already have it. Portal's, Half-Lifes, and L4D2 are all still great games. The episodes are clinics in game design 

There is literally no excuse to not try VR. Reading all of that still doesn't give you the experience. Go play some Thrill Of The Fight or Super Hot.

You sound like someone who hasn’t experienced a 3dtv, or VR. Let's not want awesome things to fail. Half Life: Alyx is the best gaming experience I've had in years.

Nothing crazy about this. I worked at a GameStop in 2017, almost every call was do you have GTA5 or Black Ops 2. Many years after their launch.

I am a hardcore L4D guy. I wanted nothing to do with B4B. B4B with it’s cards are a better game. I’ve had tragedy in my life were games are not so important. B4B makes me want to play games again.

Eleven Table Tennis in VR is pretty great. Not as flashy, but plays incredible.

Once you are aware of the difference, you cant unsee it. It is the first FPS with multiplayer, it is a good move. At 30 it will still be a good playable game, but there is a difference.

There is a version of Forza on the Windows 10 store that is free as well.

It is one of the reasons I bought a PS4... Still great news.
